Hi Vinnie,

I would stay away from these Hitachi models for now. There have been problems with video noise (wavy lines) that are noticeable mostly when one reduces the factory settings to standard. Bringing the contrast level down will make these problems most noticeable.

Hitachi is aware of the problem. It appears that this is a design flaw. So far two of my clients have the same problem. Both of them tried to get the problem fixed. One decided to return the set for a Sony KP-53V75.

BTW, I have calibrated the Hitachi 50SBX78B where I noticed this problem for the first time. So far, there's no fix from Hitachi.
