You don't need (or want to pay for) decoding on the DVD player, since you have it in your A/V receiver -- but you will want to be sure to get a DVD player that will pass the DTS signal through. Most current players don't recognize the DTS bitstream flag, so they don't pass the signal through for your Kenwood to decode. I know the Panasonic DVD-A110 will do it (because I have one) but I don't know what other models will that don't also have decoding built in. Just something to keep an eye out for.
