Connecting the Panasonic A310 to Technics SA AX710 Posted by Jim Dare [IP: 209.63.94.3] on December 31, 1998 at 11:16:41: In Reply to: Connecting the Panasonic A310 to Technics SA AX710 posted by Dean Watkiss on December 29, 1998 at 22:44:13: Dean, some of the DVD forums I've browsed suggest hooking up your DVD and DSS s-video outputs directly to your TV, if you can. Running the S-video through an intermediate A/V switch, no matter how well constructed, will degrade the signal somewhat. You don't say what kind of hookup capabilities your TV has, but one option if you can manage it would be to run both audio and s-video directly to your TV (assuming it has 2 s-video inputs) from both your DVD and your DSS, and running the TV audio out to your A/V audio in. If your TV isn't up to this, another option is to buy an S-video switch -- but I gather they're fairly pricey.
