Although I don't know of a web site listing makes and models, all 16:9 screen TV's will show anamorphic DVD's correctly.

For 4:3 TV's, simply ask the salesman if it has an easily adjusted height control or 16:9 selection, may be a menu setting. If so try it out in the store first. If you can make a broadcast fit a 16:9 shape with squatty people but without pincushion or other distortion or misconvergence, then that TV will show anamorphic DVD's with full resolution. Only one reduced height setting, exactly 16:9, need be remembered regardless of the real aspect ratio of the movie. Unfortunately very few 4:3 TV's sold in the U.S. have the adjustment.

The correctly adjusted anamorphic 16:9 picture, if possible, on a 4:3 TV still has the letterbox look.
