I own a 36xbr200($1850 @ P.C.Richards, Bellmore NY) and thought the picture is striking, there are serious geometry problems with this set. The problems are most noticable when there is a vertical line going across the bottom of the screen such as sport scores, stock tickers, letterbox, ect, when there are vertical lines such as the yard markers in a football game, they bow and sort of squiggle up the screen. This is a problem that is common to the 36" WEGAs and Sony is aware of them. The repair involves replacing the yoke on the set, a major repair and it has been found that the repair does not work on all sets and may not improve the problem significantly. I have read that Sony made changes on the production line in early December to correct the problem. I am currently waiting for a December/January manufactured set to replace my flawed November made set. If this does not correct the problem I will return the set for a refund. Sony must have been aware of this problem very early in production (it's a very common problem!)and still shipped the sets! Very disturbing, I will be very leary of making a Sony purchase in the future!
