Joe, I have a 50" Hitachi Ultravision 50SBX70B and am very happy with the quality of the picture. If you're considering ever buying a DVD player (and I highly recommend it, both for the audio and video quality) you'll probably want to make sure your TV has component inputs (and my particular model doesn't) rather than just s-video or composite (RCA jacks).

Also, you'll get a slightly better picture hooking the vidio outputs of your source gear directly to the TV, rather than through an A/V receiver -- so you might want to look for a TV with enough inputs to cover what you plan to add to your system over the next several years.
