A110 and dual layer discs

I haven't viewed the disc you mentioned, but I'm sure the layer change is what you saw. I own a A110 also and have seen pauses about 4/10 of a second long on Contact and Deep Impact. This is normal - I played the same discs on a Sony 3000 that also paused briefly. Other people have posted about similiar results with the Pioneer DV414 and Toshiba 2108/3108 players. It is normal .

A player that has a dual-layer disc problem doesn't pause very briefly--the player will hang up, freeze, etc. I think some people have been a little confused over this. The main difference is between players on dual layer discs is the length of the pause (some accomplish the switch in a few tenths of a second, others are a bit longer).
