I know this is a late response, if anyone even reads it. I just purchased my 310 in Jan. at Circuit City. The player has a man. date of Aug. . It skipped ch. 18 on the Mask of Zorro, I was really ticked off! The layer change is at the end of ch. 17/beginning of ch. 18. The layer change was undetectable except for the 1/2 second of audio silence. That is how I found it. I wanted to check it out further to only find it skipped the chapter. I repeated this effect 3 times out of 15. I called Panasonic. They know of the problem but have no fix. There is no upgrades according to the tech. rep. They claimed it is an incompatability between the disc and the player. They told me to send it in for repairs for a possible mechanical solution. Absolutely not! It brand new and going back for a full refund. They need to do more than that to keep me as a customer!
