Sharp LCD Projector

Hi, It's me again. As you probably remember, I have the EXACT same setup as you except my cable runs are about 20ft (through the ceiling). I also notice better color with component input. However, I also notice that the intensity level is much higher, yet the colors are more subdued. I find it necessary to turn the projector color control way up (about midway into the right half scale) as opposed to the S-video setting which is well below mid-scale.
FYI: For component I also have the sharpness way down in the left end and the contrast about midway into the right. The Brightness is to the left of middle. This all produces the correct balance of colors using the Video Essentials DVD with the blue filter.
I have noticed a non-uniformity in color tracking of flesh tones from left to right on the screen in some scenes. Like comparing 2 people in the same scene at medium distance - one with reddish and one with purplish tones. It is not the screen, but I can't say what is the real cause. It is subtle but noticeable (just like dirt). It seems the projector just has a hard time tracking the colors properly in component mode. I'm not sure, but I wondered if you noticed the same effect.
