Panasonic CT-27G13 vs. JVC AV27950

I have to choose between the Panasonic and the JVC.. Panasonic seem to be much better in image quality, but he don't have S-Video input. The JVC have PIP and S-Video input. What kind of difference between an S-Video input and standard RCA input. It is better to buy the panasonic without the S-Video or the Jvc with...? For the moment, I don't have DVD, but...... with a good gold RCA wire can I have some quality of S-Video??
