I've been told that the mod to a 515/717/919/etc is DEFINITLY not the same as the mod for the older 909's.

The new one apparently involves the swapping of an Eprom. [not confirmed]

However the 919 I just bought (picking it up today) from JB Hifi in Melbourne is pre-modified. Apparently Pioneer are modifying them as they enter the country... So no warantee issues at all...
