I own a Pioneer DV-414. I have had absolutely NO problems with this unit. It has all the appropriate outputs (S-Video, RCA, co-ax digital and optical) and is relatively inexpensive (lists between $299 and $399 depending on where you go). There have been a few complaints about the layout of the remote but I have grown accustomed to it and have no problems navigating the remote even in the dark. For the price it compares to the Panasonic A-110 with one exception. It passes Dolby Digital 5.1 AND DTS. The A-110 does not. Hope this helps with your research.
