A/V Receiver?

I would have to agree with Scott on the Yamaha 995 (as I arrived at the same conclusion he did). However, when I was shopping for a receiver, I was looking for something with Dolby Digital, DTS, adequate power, and enough inputs/outputs to handle my current system as well as being somewhat future-proof in case some new format comes along other than DD5.1.
Sorry to complicate matters, but unless you're going to get something cheaper now and then upgrade later, I think you would probably want to consider some of these things as well. Good luck on your search.
