Unfortunately, by that time, I'll already have bought one most likely :-) Not that I won't be interested in seeing a comprehensive faceoff.

For me though, its not that I don't already have a good idea of the capabilities of the existing ones and what's likely to be in the next round, its more wanting to know when I can get my grubby little hands on some of the ones coming up. The information tends to be in the 'some time before the end of the year' category, which is not much help for me to plan by.

It comes down to me, once the first of the next round begins to show up, do I want to buy X now or buy Y Z months later? Without having reasonably good values for Z, I can't make as good a decision as I'd like. You can wait forever, right? But at some point you've got to decide whether its now good enough to move. I'm kind of partial to the Mitsubishi's myself, but I'd like to know if holding out for one means december, when I could get the next round Toshiba in say august.
