My Sony 27" just died, I think. Advice?

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.0; Windows 98):

The picture just disappeared as I was watching. I turned it off, then back on again into standby mode. I pushed one of the channel buttons and the red light which usually illuminates either doesn't appear, or very faintly flickers. After a couple of pushes, it puts itself back into standby again. Any ideas anyone? Tube transformer perhaps? ICs? Any help would be appreciated.
