Scan Lines on DTV Sets

Using Mozilla/3.01Gold (Win95; I):

Hi, All,

My new 36" Hitachi DTV (with full time progressive scan at 480p and HDTV-ready capabilities) has significant scan lines on most of the right half of the set, sometimes varying depending on the time of day, with both cable (worse) and DVD (better but still noticable around the edges). It's worse on white moving pictures. The wavy lines are making me seasick! :-) The set's color is very good, and the resolution fine. Even at 15' the problem is unacceptable.

Is this a problem which can be corrected by calibration or an inherit problem in the technology at this time? Geez, am I disappointed!!!

Should I try to get it fixed or return it within the 30-day guarantee period?
