Sony KV36XBR250 First Impression

Thanks for the reply. I ended up going to J&R's in NYC on Friday to take a look at both sets. They were selling the 200 for 1450 and the 250 for 1499. The 32 set on display had some convergence problems (or so it seemed to me) and while the 250 did not have some of the features you mentioned, it was still quite nice. As far as the gold color goes, it looks more silver to me. I ended up buying the 250 (with some component cables thrown in) and it looks much better than I had envisioned on my xbr200 stand. Perhaps the lighting in the place you saw it made it appear more gold?! I don't know. So far, the set has been superb. Aside from the sheer weight of the thing, I am quite pleased. The IR headphones are a nice touch and the vertical compression technology looks as though it makes a difference (although I am by no means an expert). Overall, the set does look a little more "mass produced" than the 200 but I'll trade some of those slight imperfections for a netter quality set.
