The 36XBRs have inherent geometry problems.In general,there's bowing on the sides and bottom.Depending on the manufacture date,the problems vary in the degree of geometrical distortion.I both own and have calibrated this particular set.Mine was purchased last DEC.,which was severly distorted.From the service mode,I was able to eliminae about 90% of the original problem.Slight bending upward in the lower left still remains.Sets after March have improved,but still have some bowing and bending on the upper left and some kinks in the right.From ther,the images onscreen look very good.Color temp is fairly close ut of the box in the MOVIE mode.I wish the service mode had not skimped on parameters that were available in the 32XBR100 or in the current line of RPS rom Sony.
