HELP! Sony 530D to Receiver Connection Question

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.0; Windows 95; DigExt):

Please help! I just purchased the 530D (I got it today) and I am reading the instructions in regards to the Dolby Digital connection. I have a Digital ready Sony receiver, only two speakers, and now the DVD player with the decoder built in. I want to get the best sound, using the Virtual Enhanced Surround Mode, through 2 speakers, but I need to know if I should connect all the wires for surround, including the coaxial/optical connection? Also, the instructions keep talking about "if you have a receiver with built-in digital", but it doesn't seem to acknowledge that this model has it built it, or what to set the sound to if you have a digital ready receiver...
