I have a Toshiba TP61H95 and like it a lot. Only complaint is my fault .... bought too big of one. I have my seating setup like a elevated movie theatre. I have on couch elevated behind another. Th problem is your eyes are only about 6 feet fromm the screen on the front couch ... room is too small ... oh well still looks cool and is usable but would not want to watch it that close for mor than a couple hours ... back elevated couch about 11 feet from screen is perfect. The problem is the scan lines etc. are too obvious that close up. Also my 61 was about 3K, so a little more than you want to spend. Look into the higher end ~50 in Toshiba products. Should be able to get these for about 2.5K. If you want to order over internet and have it shipped you can save money but be carefull. I have ordered AV stuff from unclestereo.com and shop4.comm with 100% satisfaction. If you want to save money, get the best picture, go with the 36in tube from Toshiba in my opinion .... it is awesome and has all the connections you should need for a good home theatre setup. This is my next purchase for my living room (TP61H95 is in my game/entertainment room)

Good luck ....
