problem watching DVDs on my TV

I came across problems with my creative labs dvd drive also. I was watching blade and the movie would just freeze up. I called the tech line (what a waste of money) . They told me to up date my bus drivers. I did and it seemed to be ok. I still get frozen spots at times. I bought this to watch movies on my big screen tv but I feel Ive wasted my money. Im running a 30 ft s video cable to my tv and get scanning lines running through the tv. I also got them running there cable that came with the dam machine.
