Panasonic is OK!

Using Mozilla/4.51 [en] (Win95; U):

Just to let poeple know, I took a Panasonic A110 that was purchased 14 months ago to a Panasonic Factory outlet, and they performed the firmware upgrade for no charge, parts or labor.

I went in with a non-confrontational attitude, armed with supporting paperwork to "prove" that this was a known problem, but the facility manager knew about it, and was perfectly willing to fix my unit at no cost to me.

I was impressed! Maybe it does do some good to go in with a "friendly, can you help me out" attitude. I have a feeling that had I been an asshole about it, the guy would have charged me.
