Problem with JVC XV501BK

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.0; Windows 95; DigExt):

I own a JVC XV501BK, and just bought Cruel Intentions. The disk didn't play, and even locked up the player... I had to turn it off to get the disk to eject. I returned the disk and got another from a different retailer- same problem. The demo player at Best Buy does the same thing, though other brands seem to work fine.

Wierd thing is, now some of my other titles won't play, either- they do the same thing Cruel Intentions did! Has anyone heard of/had this problem?
