Pioneer DVD won't work!!!!

Using Mozilla/4.5 [en] (WinNT; I):
I've just bought a 6X Internal SCSi DVD rom drive from pioneer and a 2904CD Adaptec PCI scsi card also. I
connected everything up and the PC booted installed all the drivers and then I tried it out. I put in a CD and it worked fine, then I installed the DVD player software for my G400 and rebooted. I put in a DVD film
(Enemy of the State) and attempted to play it using my DVD Player software and it took ages loading it up, 10 minutes
later and it's still not loaded. I tried changing the region from the software and the jumper on the back of the drive- no difference.
then it says another program using DVD, so i close down all programs using task manger, and still nothing. So why can't I play my DVD's and only my CD's??? I'm using windows 95 OSR 2 and have a celeron 400 system with 10GB
ibm hdd. Has anyone had problems with the 6X Pioneer scsi dvd rom drive????
Any ideas, i'm fed up with this...
