Help needed with progressive DVD and projector

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.0; Windows 98; DigExt):

I have a Runco projector (933)and a line tripler. The tripler can't accept the progressive input, but the projector can handle the progressive signal. My question is this--is there any way to hook up the progressive DVD with the projector?? If I can indeed hook the progressive DVD to the projector directly, will the picture be better than a regular dvd that goes through the tripler??
