Help me, can't get my DVD and reciver to play AC-3

Using Mozilla/4.05 [en] (Win95; I):
Please help me,On my DVD-player I have 2 outputs, 1 optic and 1 coax.
And here's the problem, my Ac-3 reciver got nothing
of that but it is AC-3 compatible or 5.1, it got 2 inputs for front and rear speaker, 1
input for center and 1 input for video signal which
my DVD-player got. So how the can I get this WORK?? /jons
