Camelot/Cristal Vision VSP-1

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.0; Windows 98):
I own a Pioneer CLD-D 704 LD player and I use it with its own internal Digital Comb Filter (I connect it with the S-video cable)I heard that by using the Camelot/Cristal Vision VSP-1, I can obtain an even better picture quality.
Since I use the player mainly to watch animation titles (japanese imports)How much of improvement I will see by adding this outboard processor/TBC?
I heard on some review that it even out performs the internal comb filter of the Pioneer Elite CLD 99.
I also own a DVD player but there is no sense of proudness in owning the discs (they seem a cheap piece of plastic to me, both the discs and the "2cents super cheap" keep case)
