Connecting DVD to A/V receiver

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.0; Windows NT; DigExt):

I'm trying to identify the best way to connect a Pioneer DV-606D to a Yamaha RX-V995 to get a Digital Dolby signal, using digital coax cable. The manual is not helpful and I've received conflicting information from both Yamaha & Pioneer.
