Connecting DVD to A/V receiver

I'm not too sure as to what your question is. If you have already determined that you will be using the digital coax and not digital optical, then connect the AC3 bitstream output of the DVD player to the digital coax input of the RXV995. I believe the DVD player that you have also has built-in Dolby Digital decoding with 6 channel output. You don't need to worry about those, because your Receiver will handle the decoding of the digital stream. As for the video, you can either connect the S-video out of the DVD player into your receiver and have it handle switching between video sources, or if your TV has component video inputs, connect the component outs directly to the TV for the best video.
