Black Level for Pioneer DV-525

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.0; Windows 98; DigExt):

Does anyone know if the new Pioneer DV-525 DVD player can pass 0 IRE (blacker-than-black) level for proper calibration? I was about ready to buy the DV-414 (which I know can) for a second player but noticed that the 525 is now out at about the same price.

Also, please jump in if anyone has comments comparing the 414 and 525 features or performance.
