I'd say Dish Net all the way! They're cheaper. They have more programming choices and channels. They don't have as many sports channels however, but still have plenty. The receivers are a closed design and manufactured under design from Echostar. The 4700 from Echostar, JVC, and Philips are the same receiver. The names only identify where the receiver was assembled. This enables software upgrades and Tech. support on your receivers, directly from Dish Net. They even do the exchanges for defects, through their techs. All software upgrades are sent through the satellite, to your receiver. Talk about easy and the simplest way to get the lastest firmware version. In Oct. they are adding many more PPV Dolby Digital channels. Unfortunately at a $1 over standard PPVs. The customer service is terrific. It's even getting better. For a while it would take me 15 min. to get through. Now, it's more like 4 minutes.
