video essentials for computer monitors, too?

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows 98):

I currently watch my dvd's on my gateway computer monitor. However, I am not convinced that the picture quality is the best that it could be.
Is Video Essentials compatible with computer monitors, as well?
