Component Video vs S-Video (Wega)

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows NT):

I'm sure this has been discussed many times but I didn't find very much info in the archive.

I am finally getting the Wega 36XBR250 next week and I got one chance to wire this correctly before this behemoth sits in our family room permanently.

Assuming the wire quality is the same, which is better, Component Video or S-Video?

I got Sony DVP550, Onkyo Pro-Logic Receiver, and Sony Hi-Fi VCR.
