DVD vs Receiver digital decoding

Using Mozilla/4.61 [en] (WinNT; I) via proxy gateway CERN-HTTPD/3.0 libwww/2.17:

I recently purchased a receiver with a built in digital decoder and plan to purchase a DVD player in the next few days...If I buy a DVD with a built in Digital decoder, where does the processing occur ?? Should I only shop for those without the digital decoder ?? I am considering Pan A-120, Tosh 2109, ProScan PS8680...Any info will be greatly appreciated...Thnx...
