: What would be the difference between the TV and Monitor sets? I'm guessing that the Audio set is what you refered to as "fixed line-level".

Hmm. Well, I'd guess:

TV - I'm wondering if these aren't INPUTS for, say, a VCR?

Monitor - they might be similar to ones I have on my RCA: whatever channel the TV is currently tuned to, the audio and video is routed to those jacks. I really haven't determined a useful job for these jacks, other than MAYBE for feeding a VCR (i.e. dubbing purposes)?

Assuming you have the user manual for your TV, see if you can scan the page(s) for these jacks and e-mail them to me. I'd like to see what the Manual says about them. Tf you don't have a manual, your local Authorised Sony Repaire Shoppe should have one (or one "close enough"). :)

This is the best I can offer without physically seeing the set, etc. :)
