The SharpVision XV-H30 was introduced in 1992. At that time, it was about $4,495 suggested list.

Although, at that time, it was the industry's most popular home theater front projector, compared to the current SharpVision models, it doesn't offer the brightness or resolution of today's line. (For example, the H30 only had about 300,000 total pixel elements, while the newest similar priced models have close to a million elements; and in terms of brightness, the H30 only had roughly 100 ANSI lumens, while the current similar models have between 250-600 ANSI lumens.)

The H30, quality wise, is an *excellent* piece, and I am sure your friend will be able to find a buyer for it. Though I am not sure what she will be able to get for it, considering the dramatic improvements in resolution and brightness that have occurred in the more recent SharpVision models, she may only be able to get a 'fraction' of what she originally spent.

ps: one thought ... instead of selling it, she may want to consider donating it to a local school, religious organization, etc. This way, it would be put to very good use, and she might be able to take a tax deduction on it.
