DVD on Laptop

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.0; Windows 98; DigExt):

I have a Gateway Solo 9100 Laptop with a DVD player. Bought it second hand and the driver was currupt by other software. Gateway wont let me buy the software. Not original owner.
It's just the "PCI multimedia Device" driver. Anyone out in cyberland have the driver or disk's?
