Mitsubishi WT-46805

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows 98):

Folks,

I had been waiting for this set for a long time and finally got a chance to view it at the Provideo store in Rockville, MD.

The size of the unit seemed just about right for my room, but I was very disappointed with the line doubling (or quadrupling?) capability. We viewed the satellite feed as well as a DVD (Armageddon) and in both cases, the edges of all objects on the screen had a terrible quiver to it. This was even more pronounced when the objects were moving!

Has anyone else noticed this on other units? We played the same DVD on a Hitachi HDTV and found no such artifacts. Are all the new Mitsubishis this way? There was a 55805 next to it which showed same the artifacts.

Was this unit defective by any chance? We tried switching the conversion from 480p to 960i and it wouldn't go away!

Ofcourse, the HDTV picture was out of the world, but you knew that!
