I have been doing some research over the past year and building my audio side of my HT. I have looked at all the major brands, SONY, Toshiba, Mitsubishi, Hitachi, etc. However, I will pass on them all and purchase the Pioneer Elite models. Their picture in NTSC, HDTV and DVD is outstanding. If you have not spent sometime with this model line you will kick yourself after the purchase. However, nirvana does come with a price.
