Video splitting

Using Mozilla/4.6 [en] (Win98; I):

Does anyone know of a device out there that can split the video and audio information on a 75-ohm pin-type cable-television cable.

the one caveat is that the audio info should also be pro-logic decipherable info.

usually, you route cable through a hi-fi VCR but by buddy only has a DVD player, Receiver, and TV. Does he have to buy a VCR?
