I ended up buying the Hitachi 36SDX88B (direct view HDTV/PC Monitor) and I know Im not happy with my decision (i wanted a bigger picture) but Its the best all around set for me right now. I am VERY interested in the new samsung 50 inch with vga input thats due out in july or august. Do you have any experience with hitachis and what is your honest opinion of them? Are many other manufactures coming out with 50" sets that are HDTV 1080 ready with vga inputs? The only big drawback with the Hitachi i just bought (besides the screen size) is the refresh rate for the monitor is 60hz max. I set my pc monitor to this and my eyes burn like heck after a hour or so..bummer. Anyway,if you can help me let me know. I paid $2,550 for the hitachi.I checked quite a few places and nobody seemed to beat it ($80 shipping from LA to Northern california)
