Hi Antony,

1. a) When playing any anamorphic (enhanced for 16:9) DVD use Full mode. For non-anamorphic material use TheaterWide2.

1. b) For 4:3 material try using TheaterWide3. You will loose some information at the top and bottom but this is the best compromise.

2. This is a major flaw with the menu system of Toshiba and other manufacturers. Short of making the changes at the service level you will have to get out of the menu everytime you want to check your changes.

3. If the image is not uniform then it is a geometry problem. Again, this can only be fixed at the service level.

4. I don't know about the Bay Area but Bob McJimsey is out in California. Visit his site at http://www.tru-line.com. Bob is a pioneer in display calibrations and considered one of the best in the field.

Regards,

Leo
