AFAIK, todays A/V receivers ONLY DO SWITCHING of video sources to the monitor. I PERSONALLY know of NO RECEIVER that does any "processing" like you mention.

I PERSONALLY like the idea of "centralised" video switching. Makes the connection to the TV SO MUCH SIMPLER! :)
