Next, you need to "program" the receiver, via its' On-screen SETUP, to "associate" the COAX digital input to an input seletion (i.e. DVD/VDP, VCR-2/V.AUX). BIG NOTE: some DVDs (i.e. cartoon discs) have MONOPHONIC AUDIO TRACKS that won't "play right" using the DIGITAL feed! with these discs, you should also connect the ANALOG STEREO OUTPUTS to the SAME INPUT you've "associated" the digital feed to. IOW, if you've "programmed" the receiver to use the "DVD/VDP" input for the COAX digital input, connect the ANALOG STEREO inputs of that same input to the DVD player's ANALOG AUDIO OUTPUTS. This way, you can select (via the remote) either DIGITAL or ANALOG feed for that input based on the "audio format" of the DVD you want to play. Just FYI: here are the possible DSP modes for the digital and analog input modes: DIGITAL: Dolby Digital (5.1) or Dolby ProLogic ONLY! I hope this helps. :) Ken
