Sony DVP-S3000 verses DVP-S530D

Using Mozilla/4.5 [en] (Win95; I):
A local Sony store has DVP-S3000 new in
the box for $50 less than the DVP-S530D.
The old 3000 had the dual discrete
optical pick-up which is now found in
only the higher priced Sony's like the
DVP-S7700.I do not care about DTS and
the like.What I would like to know is
how was the DVP-S3000's service record,
what people thought of them or should a
guy just put out an extra $50 and go for the DVP-S530D.
