Toshiba DVD player audio dropouts

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows NT):

Has anyone experienced the audio dropout problem on their Toshiba 2108 DVD player? If so what are the symptoms? When I watch DVD's on my machine, once or twice per show the sound will cut out for about 2-3 seconds and then resume. I thought this was the audio dropout problem I'd heard about on this model so I took it in to be serviced. Two weeks later I picked up the machine and was told there was nothing wrong with it. Any input would be appreciated.
