Panasonic A110 firmware

I had my A110 "serviced" last month to have the firmware upgraded. Because the deck was still in warranty, I only paid for the LABOR to have it done (at 1/2 rate - negotiated with the Repair Center's manager). Haven't had any problems since. If your A110 is still in its' 1 year PARTS warranty period, talk to your local Panasonic Repair Center's manager about having it replaced UNDER PARTS WARRANTY. Be sure to show him/her/it the data from "DVD Resource" (www.dvdresource.com) regarding firmware upgrades (in the "APRIL ARCHIVE" section). This data will give you some "leverage" in getting the chip(s) replaced. Good luck! :) Ken
