PIP and Cable TV

Using Mozilla/4.05C-DIAL (Macintosh; I; PPC):
I have a Sony XBR200 with cable TV
connected. The TV is set to channel 3
and I use the cable box to change
channels. When I run the auto channel
setup on the TV, it scans only the
channels on the TV, not on the cable
box. Therefore, all the channels that
the TV scans, are snowy.
My problem is with the channel selection
feature (20 channels show up on the
screen in little boxes and lets you
choose which one you want to watch) All
the channels show up snowy. The same
with the favorite channel feature.
And my PIP doesn't work. Both channels
are the same. They both switch at the
same time. I can't seem to get them to
play different channels. I suspect all
this has something to do with the cable
setup. Does anyone have any ideas?
I'm sure I'm not the only one with this
problem. Thanks.
