PIP and Cable TV

Using Mozilla/4.05C-DIAL (Macintosh; I; PPC):

I did try to bypass the cable box. But only the basic TV channels show up. So I need to use the cable box to watch all the channels.

My TV has a two tuners for PIP.

Is there any other way around this or do I loose some of my TV features because of this?
