I would suggest go ahead with the panasonic a120u. It has one drawback which is the remote. i think yamaha 905 has universal which will work..i have yamaha 795 which is actually 1105 in your terms.. it works perfectly.

I started with sony 530, had lip sync probs. returned for a panasonic 120....no probs hated the remote. wanted the 330 sony. waited till it arrived a few weeks ago..got a set...but sony is very sensitive. it could not play a scratched dvd where as the panasonic 120 played the same dvd without any hitches. the sony dvd jumped 3 times ..one time jumped to the next chapter missed 13 mins of the movie.

I would suggest go ahead with pana 120...that is the best in my opinion out there.
